Thinking out loud

Nobody said this would be easy. 

It hasn't been. 

Most our time in Velveteen is spent between the joy of writing and performing music and wondering if it's worth the hassle.  At least for me, that's where I spend a lot of time.  We've been at this for about three years now, have played more in 2010 than any other year and have been more consistently energized than ever before.  But we also don't make any money doing this, spend a lot of time away from family preparing and performing and it's a big hassle to try and work around everyone's schedule.  We've got an album in the works which will come out whenever the group has time to get together.

But then again, we love making music and we love you guys who support us with your presence and great words of encouragement.  Knowing that songs connect, that disturbances in the air find their way to your heart is the greatest part of playing.  We cherish every moment spent performing.  Whether there are five people or fifty in the audience, we'll play our guts out for you and keep on going. 

It's not easy, but you, our fans, make it worth the effort.  Thanks!  We'll see you you at the next show.
